We need to wrestle in PA every year. This meet will do so much more for us than heading to Va. Edinboro will offer a different style, rowdy fans, and a chance to compete in a state that is producing multiple studs each year.
Another benefit? Not long ago, Iowa's roster included Mike Evans and Josh Dziewa. The current lineup includes Kemerer and freshman Kaleb Young. Two of the top recruits in the Class of 2017 are Spencer Lee and Max Murin. They are all Pennsylvania natives.
"That is something that isn't lost on us," Brands said. "A different style is definitely noteworthy. Environment is noteworthy. Of course being in Pennsylvania, where now we have two guys and we have more coming -- we're excited to go out there."

I'm all for wrestling 2 hours from Kemerer's hometown. Michael seems excited as he tweeted about it as well.
I agree that they should try to schedule a tournament or dual in PA every year. Whether it's Edinburo, Lehigh or somewhere else, it would be good for recruiting.
Edinboro is a Div. II school, but is Div 1 in wrestling.......Cool.
Can't think of a better team for their fans to root against than Iowa coming to town. Gotta be a great feeling for them. They're are going to turn out for this and have a blast cheering on their hometown team. What more could you wish for with the state of wrestling currently?

The atmosphere a few years ago in Boro, when the Hawks came to town was absolutely fantastic. It reminded me of SDSU this year. I love these types of duals!
Watching some of the Iowa high school wrestling makes this even more important. The talent in states we recruit hard is much higher than what Iowa is currently producing. I am glad the coaches are now focusing a lot on Ohio and Pa.
