Damn straight.Cant wait for the start of this year. With the few we have coming back and the young guns filling in, Hawks will be top 5 by March and who knows if the stars align right at NCAAs. The great part of this is TNT developing these guys rather than fielding a team of top pfp wrestlers. Ive seen comments, like from Rutgers, go ahead and underestimate Hawkeye wrestling, it will make it all the more fun. Go Hawks.

Love Alex's interview on many levels, but I especially enjoyed his artistic usage of the word, "f***". Must have said it at least 3 or 4 times. Then you have Tom talking about all of the f*** he and his guys are having, and stepping it up a notch. . . "We're having a blast". I giggle a little every time one of our guys employs the "f" word. Would love to see it mentioned ad nauseam by our guys all season, and into perpetuity. Each time we use it, you can sense the hair standing up on the back of Carl's neck a little.
We should have a requirement that the "f" word must be used at least once per interview. Make it so, Hawks.
That’s the idea. It’s not a matter of copying, but making light of a myth being perpetuated by a rival program.I don't reca;; the f*** word being thrown around by Tom. I think he used the word, blast which has its own Hawkeye flair to me. They need their own word, otherwise it will seem like they are copying PSU.

That’s all true. It’s also true that our guys have a great time together, on and off the mat. Iowa wrestling is a family. Nothing artificial about it. I don’t think certain other programs can say the same thing. And while Iowa wrestling has never made a big deal about it, our guys have always enjoyed each other’s company, looked after each other, and genuinely cared for each other — probably even more these days than ever. And of course, it’s f*** when that’s the case.Lets say just hypothetically that TnT love coaching. They pour their hearts and souls into it and have made it their purpose and passion in life to develop young men into fine citizens and wrestlers. It would seem that at some level, they are having fun.
They are doing what they want and they love it. It would sure be a shame if they weren't enjoying it. On some level, I think it is fun for them.
Now we can say it is work or we can say it is tough or we can say it is fun. All 3 are true, it is only a matter of which you want to dwell on or draw attention to. I think the Hawks do have a blast in practice and they do have fun, because they are doing what they love. It is not fun in the normal 6 year old - play in the park fun, but it is fun. IMHO
Another example. I love to work out and do cross fit. I ache afterwards and I am tired as heck while doing it. The coaches yell things like keep working and don't stop. To me that is fun.
I think you guys are trying way too hard. If those in the Iowa program are like one big happy family, having fun and enjoying what they do, recruits will see it when they make their visits. Spencer did...he said as much.
I’m almost to the point of believing that this rival program is now just having fun with it all at your expense. It’s like this fun thing just took on a life of its own. It started out small, rival fans, the media and now even coaching staffs have blown this thing into something it’s not. I’ll bet there’s all sorts of inside jokes in the wrestling room at PSU about how big but also how silly it all has become. That’s the idea. It’s not a matter of copying, but making light of a myth being perpetuated by a rival program.

Why.... why can't you please just go away??? You're such an A holeI think you guys are trying way too hard. If those in the Iowa program are like one big happy family, having fun and enjoying what they do, recruits will see it when they make their visits. Spencer did...he said as much.
The Penn State wrestling team's warm up song...Karl's favorite tune as a young lad...
