Fredrick........21 points
Wieskamp....16 pts.
Evelyn..........15 pts.
Garza...........12 pts.

Tonight, the Hawkeyes got a tremendous lift
from Evelyn and his 15 pts. The Bearcats at
times put 3 men on Garza.and this left some
guys open for 3 pointers. Congrats to Evelyn
for a great game.

Evelyn perhaps earned the job as starting
point guard tonight. He looked relaxed and
his 15 points on offense were unexpected.
Hope Fran gives the guy a chance to start.

I say keep Joe T starting and have BE in that all important sixth man role where he probably logs more minutes at the point but we still need to get Joe T as much experience as is possible

I agree Joe needs experience but he needs to earn minutes and the starting spot, He hasn’t demonstrated he is ready yet. He can get experience just as well coming off the bench.

I'm just thinking keep JoeT in that starting spot so he keeps his head in the right spot to where he stays bought in and realizes we need good solid turnover free minutes from him

Joe T will be judged by how many minutes
Coach Fran gives him in the upcoming Big
10 Conference games. Evelyn is a Senior
and Joe T. is only a Freshman.
This. I don't think rewarding Joe T by letting him start is going to help him long term. He has real upside, but he needs to show Fran he can lead the team effectively.......

Who starts doesn't matter a whole lot. Fran will play whoever is playing well. They need Toussaint to at least be playable. Whatever allows him to do that.

some 21st century thinking there :)

if he is that mentally and emotionally soft he should probably just move on now.....

i'm hoping/assuming he isn't though

Joe just needs to calm down and let the game come to him instead of having the mind set of him vs the other team. Slow down, see the court, and quit trying to create by forcing the issue.

The Big Ten teams will try to double team
Garza. The good news is that the Hawks
have the offensive fire power from the
perimeter. Our 3 pointers will make a big
difference from the outside..
