Iowa opens the season at Dallas Baptist, a team that won 46 games in 2015 and hosted a regional. DBU is coached by Dan Heefner who played and coached under Heller while at UNI.
Following the spring break trip to Atlanta and the Perfect Game Tournament, the Hawkeyes travel to Springfield, MO for a rematch of last season's NCAA Regional with Missouri State.

Also of note today, Perfect Game released their "Top 350 Incoming Freshmen" who made it to campus. The list includes six Hawkeye frosh: Cole Baker (125), Luke Farley (129), Robert Neustrom (190), Daniel Perry (208), Dametri Evans (243), and Shane Ritter (257). Iowa's six are the most in the Big Ten and two more than Michigan (4).
