The Photos from Spring practice reminded me that
I need to send in my Season Ticket order forms soon.

Remember, just a short year ago, when some 'fans' protested by not
ordering their season tickets?? So, now they're locked-out of priority seating.

That is funny stuff.

I dropped my season tickets last year and have never looked back. Used the savings to go to Paris. This fall we are going to Dublin, Vienna and Croatia. In 2017 we will do two week canal cruise in the south of France.

I live on the West Coast so was only going to 2 games a year anyways. Best of all, I now make a much smaller donation to I Club and can still use my priority points to go to good bowl games. We had very good seats at the Rose Bowl. Only regret is I wished I dropped my season tickets 3 years earlier.

Not disputing your reasons, but I'm confused, if you dropped your tickets how did you "use your priority points" to get great tickets to the Rose?

As long as you continue to be a member of the I Club, you retain your priority points and have the ability to purchase Bowl game tickets. Since I have a high number of priority points, I am guaranteed bowl tickets and good seats.

Thanks, forgot that they didn't prioritize ticket holders.

Doubt anyone blames you for not buying season tickets when you could only make a couple games/year. Enjoy it on TV.

And I'd like to Thank people like peacehawk, who dropped Season tickets, in the past couple of years, allowing me to move close and close to the 50 yard line. Last year was great, but this year's Home FB Schedule at Kinnick is tremendous.

You're welcome ... Dropped mine 3 years ago ... FYI: For the record, I know this is one of those "I told you so" type of posts ... ribbing fans who dropped their tickets, etc. People dropped their tickets for several reasons ... And they will continue to do so. Priorities change as people get older ... It could be the cost .... It could be the product on the field ...

Glad you have season tickets and you were able to move closer ... I experienced the same appreciation when I had tickets (being able to move closer and closer to the field each passing year) ... Just enjoy your experience ... And not-so-much worry about fans who didn't renew ...

So you were able to travel to Europe for under $400/person? Sign me up!

Not sure that swapping out the home schedule for a curb-stomping from Stanford was a great trade, but I guess if you only go to 1-2 games/year anyway it is probably a push.

It's RockEyeState, what else would you expect? He's probably in his 60's but still acts like a 12 year old around here.

NDSU is a BIG home game whoever poking fun at this better be ready as its a game we could lose.
Hawks could lose any game at any time so that means nothing. I doubt this game will gather much excitement at the national level. Not with games like OSU/Oklahoma, MSU/ND, USC/STANFORD playing the same day. Do you anticipate this BIG game to be a sellout ?

Lol? Mich, Nebraska, Wisconsin, NW all at home. You sir are the one to be laughed at. Question is will the Illini move to a high school stadium to show a full house for any of their games? Illinois football. Derp
I've seen it said numerous times Nebby is washed up program living off their past. Why would you be excited about playing them ? Michigan and Wisky I can understand (NW please...smh)

Well, that is sort of true. Although, last year, Dinardo and Griffith the 2 BTN FB experts picked the Cornholers to win the Big10 West. But, we ALL know who WON, right?
I'll bet you picked the Cornholers, like Dinardo, right? Come on, tru that

Sorry to disappoint you but I had the Hawks going 9-3 and winning the West. I'm going to stay with that again this year.

Meh, you can go to Paris anytime.

Since NW is 10-6 vs your Illini since 2000, you, your fan base and your team should take them more seriously. Please.....

You're welcome! Enjoy the improved seating.

My wife and I enjoyed the heck out of our 40+ years going to Kinnick with my family. But, as we got "less young", and our kids have scattered, going to games seemed more like work than fun. We're still happy with our decision and enjoyed watching the Hawks on TV. I've taken my close to $4,000 annual cost and bought a boat!

If our decision caused the team to improve, I'm happy to take credit for it! ;)

An ILLINI wouldn't know what a good HOME football schedule looks like, so I understand.

Michigan, Wisconsin, Cornholers and Northwestern ALL come to Kinnick this fall.

It's an AWESOME Home schedule, Clown.

It's going to be tough for Hawkeye fans to witness 3 losses (Michigan, Wisconsin and Nebraska). Oh well Northwestern will make up for it.
