Hawkeye Fun - Nearly Impossible to do

Here is mine:
Woolridge $3...is an absolute steal for that price
Jok $2...have to save money here
Uthoff $3....need a scorer from the outside not a inside guy
Bowen $2...another great value and compliments Garza
Garza $5.... no way can pick anyone else

SG: Dev $1 (insane value here)
SF: Uthoff $3 (Also good value)
PF: TC $1 (Here is where I’m giving up a lot... Cook is still a freak athlete and definitely won’t be catching double teams on this team though!)
C: Garza $5 (Duh)

PG- $5 Ronnie Lester (can get to any spot on the floor he wants/best player in Iowa history when healthy)
SG- $2 Peter Jok (silky smooth jumper-floor spacing)
SF- $1 Matt Gatens (great shooter/underrated because of the coach he endured)
PF- $2 Ryan Bowen (INTANGIBLES)
C- $5 Luka Garza (Priceless)

Lester running the show, two great shooters in Haluska and Gatens who also can do more than shoot, and then athleticism and size with Cook and Garza that will have the post open by the other 3. This is all based on needing Lester at the point for me.

2nd team would be...

PG - BJ - $4
SG - Dev - $1
SF - Uthoff - $3
PF - Evans - $4
C - Earl - $3

The length there on Dis insane, not to mention how good they would be on the boards. Offense might lack but gotta imagine they play low scoring games.

C: 5$ Luka Garza (Best center ever at Iowa, great leader, great all around.)

Andre with the drive and kick to Jok or Uthoff. Andre with pick and roll to either Reggie or Acie. Reggie gobbling up every rebound. Acie protecting the rim. Uthoff’s defensive range to help cover up for Jok’s defensive deficiencies.


Bruner should be the $3 PF. White should be the $3 SF with Uthoff the $2 SF. Why is Stokes on here twice? Interesting no Williams, Oliver, Horton, Lohaus, Jepsen, or Bullard on the list. Definitely some recency bias as I don’t think Gatens, Cook, Woodbury, or even JBo who were/are all great players should be on an all time list right now.
