NIce of Iowa to have a BBQ for guys holding only Iowa State offers. Don't really care just thought it was interesting.

Micah Jones seems like the gem of this bbq.

Anybody know whats on the menu. It's Iowa, hoping some pulled pork.

Only ISU offers? Factually inaccurate but a heck of an effort or did I miss the sarcasm?

Russ Yeast is a really good prospect (Alabama and Auburn are his latest offers) and is one of Iowa's top remaining priorities in the Class of 2017. Dallas Craddieth and I'Shawn Stewart are both going to be pretty highly sought after in the Class of 2018. And like you said, Micah Jones is definitely a gem.

FWIW, the guys with "only Iowa State offers" are all 2018 prospects, so it's still really early for them. Right now, they only have sophomore film available and have attended camps, including Iowa's, this summer.

Wonder if any of those 2018 guys will get offers?
Hope they can really impress yeast. that would be a huge get

Look for that kid to get another star **** looks like the big boys have noticed him. Hairball will be next to offer.

I would love Yeast. The thought of he and Calloway manning the corners for the next four years is pretty awesome, but Josh may have something to say about that if they both sign. There certainly is an opportunity to compete for immediate playing time and the prospect of having experienced LB's in front of them and AJ providing a pass rush has to make Iowa pretty attractive. If seeing the field is the decider with Yeast's ability to also play wide receiver you have to like our situational fit for him.

We have some pretty impressive names we are still in on, but if we can add Oliver, Yeast, and Daniels anyone else would be gravy. Iowa football future is going to be fun.

Factually not inaccurate if you read my post. There are guys that only have Iowa State offers. Several in fact.Let me say that my post was not inaccurate if Rivals is accurate. Make sense?

Let me be clear. Im not the negative nancy type of guy and I don't care that Iowa invites kids with no offers to a BBQ. I think it's great. I just found it interesting is all and as Blair said most of those kids are 2018 prospects.

You are correct, my bad, poor reading comprehension on my part. You got the intended result.

What is the norm for when most kids get offered (if there is one) by blue blood programs? I mean honestly how many kids after their sophomore year are slam dunk 5 star prospects? Obviously, coaches can see which kids have potential and which ones not so much, but I would assume most kids don't receive actual scholarship offers from big time programs until they are seniors. I don't know for sure because I don't follow it that closely, so please anyone feel free to correct me where I'm wrong.

Alphonso Soko verbally committed to South Dakota last night, but told us he still plans to make the visit to Iowa City this weekend.

Those '18 Iowa kids all get invited regardless if they have a ISU offer. Iowa has a great shot at Yeast. Will the coaches offer Mason Niesen? I say yes.

Michael Thompson is a 4 star DT out of Missouri. Great year for D-lineman in Missouri, Trevor Trout also has an offer.

Have a big DT to go along with Epanesa would free him up to eliminate double teams.
