Hope they can at least get two or three commits out of the weekend. I wonder how many WRs they are taking in this class. My guess would be 3.

I really like that Hankins kid at corner. Looks like they have a good chance of landing Hankins and Holmes this weekend. Would be amazing if they could flip a Texas commit.
Also saw Greenwood is high on the hawks. Holmes and Greenwood would really be a good WR class and I am assuming they would take another WR as well.

Weird that there has been no news about Van Ginkel since the flurry of offers he received earlier this year

Looks like an Iowa/Wisconsin race for the time being. I'm assuming he's a little lower on the board though?
Considering he earned an invite for tomorrow and some other prospects did not...,not sure how low he is on the staff's board.. maybe in a group right behind Calloway/Hankins/Boyce/Yeast,but ahead of the J. Scott's,K. Jones types?(Not trying to be argumentative)..looking for other opinions on where people might rank the prospects...

Bring em in Eno!

Eno tweets:
"FELT GREAT TO BE BACK IN IOWA CITY, I NOW MUST GO, BUT SINCE YOU GUYS WERE SO GOOD TO ME....

I HAVE A SURPRISE FOR YOU GUYS ON MONDAY

Twitter pics make it look like Hankins, Boyce, or Holmes!

Sounds like we'll have a commit tomorrow along with whatever is happening on Monday. My guess is Camron Buckley and then Gavin Holmes on Monday

If we would get Buckley, Holmes, and Oliver that would be one of our best ever wide receiving classes. If we had the real threat of stretching the field our offense becomes pretty potent.

Next week should be interesting. If we land two wide receivers my guess is the third will follow pretty quickly. The wide receiver scholar ship could be sailing soon.

Here's a good group pic from yesterday.

Front - Ethan Lape, Camron Harrell, Ivory Kelly-Martin, Gavin Holmes, Matt Hankins, Kobe Boyce, Eno Benjamin, Scott Nelson, Brandon Smith
Back - Coy Kirkpatrick, Levi Duwa, Tristan Wirfs, Mark Kallenberger, Jacob Coons

Bell is deciding Monday also and is down to Iowa, Colorado and Washington State. Would Iowa take all 4? Buckley, Holmes, Oliver and Bell? That would be a pretty amazing group.
I don't know how it will all shake out in the end, but IF Brandon Smith has a good day at today's camp, I'd be willing to bet the Hawks would take his commitment.

Brandon Smith looks like a man among boys in that photo. It is going to be very hard to determine who we get. Maurice Bell and Buckley seemed like long shots until now plus Holmes, Smith, Oliver. It could be a game of musical chairs. Wish Eno could've gotten ahold of kirk last night so we would know whats going on!

Do you really believe Eno contacts KF when another player wants to commit ? I'm pretty sure that's handled being the committing player and KF.

In the clip he (Smith) looked like quite the athletic specimen (at the top of page when you click his name, end of the video).

I wouldn't assume that but that is how I interpreted Eno's tweet. Eno works so hard recruiting it wouldn't shock me if he is in regular contact with the staff about where they stand with guys. But oh well who cares

And other recruits may tell Eno more or even different things.

Last year when Iowa had their flurry of CB commits, there was one kid (can't remember his name) that Tweeted out that he had committed to Iowa before he called KF. When he called KF to commit, KF told him that they were full at CB. Something like that. Anyway, when it comes to Iowa ranking recruits they don't have them ranked 1,2,3,4,5... they have them ranked in groups. Tier 1 might have a handful of blue chippers, then there are a bunch of guys in the tier 2 or tier 3 groups that they move on to after the prospects in the higher group are no longer options. I think that is how it was explained after last years situation. So if a CB recruit has an offer, the staff thinks they are all pretty much the same level.
