I would love to meet some of the posters on here .. even the ones I can’t stand as I can guarantee many of “us” would pull down their guard and probably drink a case of beer together.. I wish there was a way to get a tent going for HR members to meet up before and after the games .. it would be a blast I am certain.. would anyone be interested if I fronted the moola (and find a place to do it would be a huge challenge) but still.. I think we could get a pretty good turnout.. if we can get a certain amount of peeps to commit I will f’ing buy a tent or something and get the grills kicking and pay for the food plus a few half barrels of beer if I knew people would actually show up before one of our final home games ... anybody think this is a good idea? I do but it’s hard to get a bunch of fans as many have plans themselves before games .. worth a shout out I would think ..

They do meet and greets on the national board. Last one I saw was down South, Atlanta or something.

Im guessing only half of the people on here attend games regularly. I for instance live in Omaha and am lucky to make it back for one game a year. I am closer to Des Moines if peo people wanted to do that there as well.

Sounds like a good idea, but you shouldn't have to foot the bill: if I attended I would give a donation. I live about 5 hours away so only get to a game, or two, each season. My wife (no pics) & I went to the Wisconsin game and my daughter (again no pics) and I will be going to the Northwestern game. Funny that this topic is brought up because when we were walking around the tailgating scene before the Wisky game, I commented to my wife...wonder if I just walk up to a group that has a big food spread / refreshments...offer them say $20 (or whatever) for some beer/food...what the reaction would be? My wife said that would be weird, so I decided against it.

I'd be down with it. I'd wear my Hwk-I-St8 name tag proudly. I'd also donate. I go to every home game but usually only do up a full tailgate once a year, so I'd be there for sure.
