Not sure how much stock to put in a Purdue fans thoughts. I mean, they are our bitter rival and all. But this look sounds like a nice place to start considering we usually do better than expectations.

I know what you mean. Two years ago I figured 11-7 and we ended up 12-6. Last year I figured 10-8 and we ended up 12-6. This year I figure 9-9 or 10-8!!! I keep ending up liking that we finished better!!! Unreal, totally unreal to be a Hawkeye fan these days.

My problem is I'm half realist, half eternally optimistic and loyal homer.

Middle of the pack finish sounds realistic given the player turnover but the other half feels pretty good by the number and quality of 3PT shooters on the roster. I can't let the realist half of me have the final say just yet, before a single game is played. 4th or better - even the eternal optimist will take that because Iowa would be dancing again instead of rubbing the bubble.

Wisconsin and we had the hardest Big Ten schedules by far. I'm surprised no one called me out on predicting Wisconsin would not finish in the top four. But I guess I will, I was wrong ..again, I hate Wisconsin...:mad:

But I'm proud of how our guys did. If only we could have pulled a couple more games out at the end, or maybe if the freedom of movement rules had been followed the whole season. I don't know, still ended up a very good year.

It is strange how the NCAA has allowed freedom of movement in part of the season, only to switch back to thug ball. Last season wasn't the only year that has happened....
We just have to be prepared, and know that it isn't going to last. That said, I think Fran is creating a roster that is better built to handle the handcheck, shoulder throw type game...

Yes, Wisconsin does suck. Wish they could just lose sometime in the near future.

There is a lot of uncertainty in the B1G for next year, but I think 6th would be a decent finish for the young Hawks, who have as much uncertainty as any team.

Good luck w/ that. Will have to wait til 2017-18 for that to maybe happen. Although I wouldn't count on it.
