Versatile Cedar Rapids Kennedy athlete Max White will be joining the Iowa Hawkeyes as a preferred walk-on.

Max White just announced that he has accepted a preferred walk-on opportunity with the Iowa Hawkeyes.
The 5-foot-11, 190-pound White, who could play RB, WR, or DB in college, chose Iowa over a preferred walk-on opportunity at Iowa State.
White's great-grandfather was Max Hawkins, one of the Ironmen on Iowa's 1939 football team, and the man that Hawkins Drive is named after as well as Max's namesake.
