Theoretically. As a fifth-year senior with no signature wins and 7 weeks left in his career he's kind of running out of runway, in my opinion.
Cartons best match IMO was his MD over Gasca. He was looking to score all match and was looking to turn every opportunity he could. He needs a "come to Jesus" moment at big tens and realize this is his last chance to wrestle as a hawk and let the fur fly
While I agree, this is a broken record at '41 the last three years.

Just watched the replay of Gilman's finish and he clearly says, "Good match!" to Lizak at the handshake.
I really could have done without Gilman going into MN's huddle, and there are moments that make me cringe, but on the whole, you gotta love that kid. Was proud of him that he showed good sportsmanship after the match. Interesting that the MN fans booed him for showing good sportsmanship. I guess when you chant "Who hates Iowa? We hate Iowa!" at every home football game, no matter who you're playing, 1) we're clearly in you head and 2) you can't help yourself.

I wish Gman wouldn't go into the huddle either, but on the flip side, MN could keep him out. Today was the first time Minny shoved him out of the huddle. Last time at Williams, Gman was in the huddle for about 15 seconds and the goofs didn't seem to mind.

I finally heard how the drug ring in Minnesota got exposed.
It seems the users/abusers/dealers had a "code". When they needed to communicate they were supposed to spell the name backwards. XANAX. Someone very perceptive broke the code and turned them in.
A bit OT but if there was any hope that we still had a shot at Gable Steveson it's gone. There is a twitter dispute going on.
Gilman and Meyer were talking before the meet. I heard Meyer tell Gilman "It really works, you should try it. Let them get a lead early in the first period and then make an amazing comeback.......the fans will love it and it is such a rush........"
I don't disagree - just seeing some flashes of talent from all positions plus he is in good shape and strong. Seems like it's a mental issue - guy needs to realize at this point he has nothing to lose and everything to gain by letting it fly.
