Hawkeyes should have beat Wisconsin this year.

Nope, not a fan of should of, could of...that is reserved for our undefeated neighbors to the west.
Long way to go this season, but it could certainly play out in a way that will make that game look like quite an upset.

Any team that craps down their leg three times in game doesn’t deserve to win. High school mistakes to boot.
That game will really sting at the end of the year. Multiple opportunities that Iowa wasted and poor execution. This team could have let it linger but the coaches have done a great job in getting them motivated to beat Minny and then go into Indiana and dominate them. Lets hope the team keeps their focus the rest of the way.

Good teams don’t lose to BYU at home. BYU isn’t good.
Thus. I think Wisconsin will lose a couple more.
After the dust settles that game vs jNW might be worth a little more than we first thought ?
That loss is going to hang around our necks the same way the ISU loss did in 2002. Ugh.
The rout is on in the big house. The beginning of the end for Wisconsin’s run and Paul Chryst.
Would rather lose to Wisconsin and win the games we should. Than win vs Wisconsin and crap the bed against an Nebraska or Illinois.
Maybe they could crap the bed against Northwestern, Purdue, or Minnesota. But I think they could hand the ball off every single down and beat Illinois and Nebraska.
It will be nice to have that game later in November in the years ahead.
What really makes me mad is that all I wanted is for Iowa to keep running up the gut against Wisconsin, not outside. Michigan had something like 240 yards of offense in the 2nd half... 4 of those in the air. Wisconsin's defense is not what they were last year and Iowa didn't challenge it the way I was hoping.
That said... doesn't matter. Game is done. Maryland will be a good test next week.

Gotta make Wisconsin get behind and pass, then Hornibrook turns into a cash register for the defense. We could never quite get them behind enough in our game to upset their balance to have that happen. One turnover probably meant the difference between a 17 pt win for us and losing.
Northwestern is lucky to be 3-3. I don’t see them running the table and/or contending. They can’t run the ball and they give up points. That will catch up with them.
Teams will find out that wisky has some issues.. and Michigan’s D made them rely on a QB that is not that good! Michigan’s D is good to very good wisky could not hang and yep Iowa gave
With Penn State dropping 2 in a row and MSU getting NW’erned at home I gotta think Michigan is the clear cut #2 in the East.. we’ll really know if Michigan does to MSU what they did to Wisky..

This is pretty much exactly what I've been saying. Get ahead on Wiscy and they are in trouble. We were a giveaway from having them in that position and running away with it.
Yep, its sucks they had to have that game so early. Lost it on just stupid mistakes. Not sure why Gronewig is still returning kicks.
I think it will be obvious that Iowa is the better team going forward.
Wisky and Iowa have to go to Purdue. Better not sleep on them because they are much better than most realize and could be the team that causes some contenders to not be contenders.
Iowa better not sleep on anybody! Especially Purdue seeing they beat Iowa real smooth like last year.. As far as I’m concerned Iowa owes Purdue for that! But that’s just me... Don’t be the team that gets beat by Purdue and Wisconsin in back to back years..
oh I agree. Purdue started 0-3 by a combined 8 points. They have the offense that can cause a bunch of issues. Having to go on the road to play them is bad enough...but coming a week after Happy Valley will make it that much harder.
Why? I'm hoping that when it's all said and done we end up terribly terribly disappointed about the loss to Wisc because that would mean we must've had quite a special season.
