A huge improvement on offense. The defense giving up 19.4 pts per game is a bit high but really it is just the OSU and MSU games that bring that avg higher. The 28 pts per game by the offense is very, very good considering the last 3 years.

I would love to trade one of those TDs from either the Wisky or jNW blowouts to put on that UCLA game and the hawks could be a 6-2 team all alone in 2nd place in the Big.

Next year will be a rebuilding year but there are some players on defense who can be very good starters. The corners played well today, need to replace some great Lbkrs. Mad Max Llwellyn and the other backup DEnd could be two very good starters but really need some development at DTAckle.

Played easiest schedule.

I wanna see Allen, Pittman, Graves, and Llewelyn as the starters on the dline or in the rotation. Those four guys are good today, gonna be great. I worry more about the skill positions and offense than defense with Phil Parker.

I’d worry more about the OL… I think Sullivan‘s back he has potential Stratton’s back. Looks like he has potential Johnson will go, but we have running backs. We have decent wide receivers and we have decent tight ends

At Minny and at OSU are not easy places to play. AT MSU and at UCLA at night and one of those on a short week are not easy games.

At Minny, MSU are not especially tough. At OSU is automatic loss for 30 years or so and in its own category.

UCLA has not been a powerhouse this season, so I wouldn't call it it especially tough game. On a relative basis, this was an easy schedule year.

Of course, our fans are some of the best at discrediting our wins. It’s bizarre

UCLA is noted for one of the toughest schedules this year and they played 4 really tough teams early this year from what the pundits say. Plus they are probably always more athletic than Iowa

If they were 6-2 in the Big they would be all alone in 5th place. But, instead, they are tied for 5th.

Having an offense would be nice to go with that
Really it's just an average passing attack we need. We're only attempting what, an average 15 passes a game since cade went down? We need more balance on O.

It's a real shame Stratton wasn't given looser reigns to throw it. We need the practice and he's the most accurate passer we've put out there this year.

Most football people consider Iowa and Illinois tied for third place. They dont number the places in the standings like pro golf does because in golf they do that to disperse the money purse. Right now Oregon is in first place with zero in the loss column, 3 teams have 1 loss tied for 2nd place, there are no teams with 2 losses, the hawks have 3 losses which puts them in third place.

Tie breakers are used to decide who might go to what bowl, etc.

I don’t think so.
