Gonna take some time to get used to having two wrestling teams.
Are people really not interested in women's wrestling? They're incredibly high level athletes. Do you not watch our USA women's team at Worlds and Olympics? Damn good wrestling. We're going to the duals Sunday and can't wait. Cheap tickets, give it a try if you're close enough!
I for one am excited about our women’s wrestling team. I think they are going to do big things right away. I’m not sure why someone would instantly write off women’s wrestling. They can do the exact same things that the men can do, and freestyle is a more exciting style (imo) and that’s what the women wrestle.
I keep telling everyone I know that every wrestler at any level could learn some shit from the Japanese womens team. They are technically some of the best wrestlers on the planet.
The attention to detail in their training must be off the charts.
Maybe why Spencer was over there working with some of their best females
He was training with Yui Susaki , Japans best wrestler and probably one of the best wrestler I have ever seen. I know most guys may say the competition is not as good in womens wrestling and they are correct, but I still say she is one of the best on the planet.
There can be hugely beneficial co-ed training at lighter weights. RBY gave Helen Maroulis tons of credit for helping him level up while she was at NLWC.
Helen is one of the top technical wrestler we have, she is something special.
