Iowa just annihilates Cornell College 47-0. All techs or pins. Pretty decent turnout in Carver.

Iowa 43-3 over William Jewel. Some good fight from WJ and actually scored some offensive points. Kennedy was looking for the grand amplitude throws. I thought this could have been 5 but someone said they don't have the 5 pointer anymore?

The 5 pointer is still around. I thought 4 was correct call here, but I'm not fully confident in my freestyle scoring abilities.

I know there's some wording about needing a certain amount of arch once you get the opponent's feet off the mat. Plus they landed more on their shoulders. Would need to come down straight onto back to get the 5.

Fun dual. I really need to find a way to get into the cushioned rows for the men's duals. So much more comfortable....

Iowa rolled as expected. At least there was 1 close match that the crowd was able to get loud for. Blades and Welker got very warm welcomes. Cassioppi too, though I was next to the whole Cassioppi clan, so that may have skewed it a bit..

Finally got to meet @UndercoverHawk in person.

Looking forward to the Jan duals. They should have a few more competitive matches.

Great time at the duals today. Super seeing Coach Chun utilize the depth of the Iowa team so as many as possible of the Iowa women could experience walking out of the tunnel through the fog to the roar of the Iowa crowd. I think 17 Iowa women wrestlers got their arm raised in carver today. Fantastic atmosphere. Even the overmatched opponents seemed to be enjoying the experience.

Good to know. With freestyle scoring I'm often 🤷.
