2 years ago HBOT (HROT) successfully named my daughter, Victoria. The other options were Riley (too trendy) and Alexis (too stripper-y).

My second son, fourth child overall, was born a couple hours ago. Once again, we have 3 names and cannot decide.

HBOT—name my child!
Dependent Child # 4” has a nice ring to it but I would keep it traditional and name him:

Demond Sanders

Good question. I think you’re right, but I’m sure most names in the Bible were names before the Bible was written.
always tough to call something pre-biblical, but alexander is certainly pre-new testament, with earliest documented use around 1280 bc.

I went with Maxwell - I think it's the most "affluent" sounding of the choices.

Worked with a Maxwell - he was the "4th" of his name, his parents owned multiple different vacation homes (Alexandria, VA, Vail, CO, etc). Good guy, but you can tell he grew up in a different "scene" that I did.

based on the offered choices i feel like op never even considered deVonte and tayshawn

If your last name ends with an -er sound, then it can’t be Alexander or
Cooper (ex; former Iowa S Tanner Miller).

If you’re good with a one-syllable name, I’ve always liked Grant.

Of the three, Alexander. Xander is a cool alternative diminutive (much cooler than the trendy Topher).

For a write-in, not many boys named Othniel. It’s actually the name of the lead male protagonist of my fantasy novel (though he gets third billing behind 2 girls). It’s from Hebrew and roughly means “he who has God’s favor”.

Oh I will definitely call him Big Al. The wife will hate it, which will make it even more fun.
You could combine two of the names. They all sound good together.

Alexander Cooper
Cooper Alexander
Maxwell Cooper

etc., etc.
