Health could lead to Urban Meyer's exit

LOL! Yeah....we've heard it before.

"I'm stepping down to take care of my health and spend more time with my family. Excuse me....what was that? Ohio State called and wants me to coach? F&@# off family, we're moving to Columbus."
Ironically Bosa leaves program.

He seems to have had some real issues with headaches this season during a couple games. He does not look real healthy or enthusiastic in his interviews this season. It has been a rough season for him, but they are still rated #2 in the country and has a young team. Normally, I would expect him to be pretty upbeat and his usual arrogant self...but seems pretty worn down.

"Even though I would say Ohio State fans would easily rank among the most sick of fan in college football, slowly, I believe they will bail on him as well."

Uh, wut?

the guy is a narcissistic egomaniac with no morals. Living this way would wear any man down mentally and emotionally. One can only pretend real hard to not be a scum bag for so long. Same with Dantonio and Izzo. They all three look wiped out. It’s hard constantly lying to everyone all the time.

Dantonio: “i’m a good guy but use the East Lansing police department to cover up sex assaults. ~70 alleged assaults from my football program during my tenure, zero convictions, weird!”

Izzo “I’m a good guy but cover up gang rape and let the attacker coach on my team like nothing happened.”

Meyer: “I’m a good guy but yet protect a wife beater.”

I won't bother trying to throw cold water on y'all's wishful thinking, and indeed, it wouldn't be shocking if Meyer did leave after this year. I would only observe that Paul Finebaum is probably THE biggest hater of Ohio State and Urban Meyer in the country. Doesn't disqualify him, of course, from offering his opinion; it does suggest that one might want to take his hatred into consideration when weighing the value of his opinions.

No wishful thinking here. 100% accurate call on Finebaum. I don't care if Meyer quits this year or coaches 10 more years. He is the dark side of college football. His entire career. Ohio State #2 in the country? Prepare to defend yourselves. If not this Saturday, Michigan will roll you.

Are you talking about Meyer or Trump??? :)

Hey, you won't get any argument from me with regard to how the team is playing. Ohio State #2 in the country? More like #12, maybe. I'm not even feeling entirely confident about our game at Purdue this weekend, doubts that would've been unthinkable at the beginning of the season.

I've felt all along that after the assistant coach debacle, and if Meyer survived the administration's response to it, he'd possibly leave after this season. I'd also bet Meyer probably feels like he got screwed.

I also believe that being the head coach at a major college football program can be extremely stressful. I would bet that "long term health" would be a problem for many in the job, and I'd also bet that for many...think of it as like being the president - the stress ages people.

Regardless of what you think about Finebaum or Meyer...I suspect there's a measure of truth in believing something might happen there.

The stress and strain of coaching at Ohio St. has
caused Urban Meyer excruciating headaches.
Tension headaches, migraine headaches, cluster
headaches can wear a person out and leave them
exhausted. Yes, this is the last season of Urban
Renewal in Columbus, Ohio.

That might be a Hall of Fame WOB worthy post. Now, was it done on purpose and does it count if it were a purposeful WOB attempt?

If this is a competition, Finebaum will have a lot of company.

Reminds of a King of Queens episode.
