Heflin was signed as a undrafted free agent by the Green Bay Packers in 2021 but was released the following year. In 2022 he has a brief stint with the New York Giants practice squad but was released in 2023.

Heflin made the All-XFL defensive team this season and finished with 25 total tackles, one sack, and three tackles for a loss.
