hell hath no fury....like a debbie scorned

Wasn’t it a Nebby fan that drive to one of Eno’s games by himself and got a picture with him? I might be misremembering...

Just tonight talked with a Husker fan while stopping for a couple drinks. Says, of course, Frost will be the best coach in football, national champs, blah, blah. Reasons he says, first, he won Oregon a national title! Ummm, no he didn't and showed him. Well, he was why Oregon was so good, he didn't even know who Chip Kelly was... STFU! Brought UCF from the ashes, had no clue they were averaging nearly 10 wins a season prior to the 0-12, coach leaves mid-season, hiccup! I seriously told him I would wait while he runs out to his truck and huffs some more model glue and comes up with something else. It's not a fan base, it's a cult with stupidity as a side effect!

Will be a little tougher to get Florida kids to come to Lincoln, Nebraska. The thing is if Scotty say averages 9 or 10 win seasons, what are they gonna do then? They ran off coaches in the past with that same average. Do they then accept reality the 90s are gone and they ain't coming back. I would have asked that fan that question.

Wonder what kind of record they expect with the schedule they have in 2018. It won't be pretty. They even get Darth Vader (Dantonio) coming to Lincoln this year.

No doubt. This statement taken from the article says it all.

"After decommitting from Nebraska the first time in June, Brown received death threats on social media."
Also, didn't a former offensive lineman who played for Iowa (Seth Olsen?) who was from Nebraska, get some type of threats after de-committing from Nebraska to Iowa? At the very least, I recall he may have had tires slashed, or something similar? Anyway, that is one of the reasons that it's so satisfying when Iowa crushes the fuskers. :)

Haven't you heard? Frost walks on water.

Really, he received death threats the first time he de-committed? Boy, I knew they were a really special bunch across the river, but I would not have expected a young kid to receive that kind of attention from the "Greatest fans in College Football"! :D

Winning 9 or 10 games on average on a 12 games schedule is going to be a lot tougher in the B1G than the AAC or the old B12(Big 8) for Nebraska no matter what occurs. 9 in conference games, your Western Division rivals will be likely annual opponents where you will face at least two of these rivals (Wisconsin, Iowa, and Northwestern). You are likely to face a couple of the Eastern Division bullies (tOSU, PSU, Michigan, MSU) who are recruiting from a more national (expanded) recruiting base and have more home grown D-1 talent than Nebraska, Iowa, and Minnesota combined on an annual basis.

Nebraska, like Mizzou, is getting their just dues as they are being seen in greater depth and familiarity by its conference rivals. The smoke and mirror show of the Big 12 football with Arena League offense numbers is wearing out quickly to the weekly battles against teams that regard strong defenses as the real way to win games and championship. Nebraska use to have great defenses with their offenses but now they are average. Nebraska teams hope to win shootouts not smashmouth battles.

I am not buying into the Scott Frost Messiah nonsense Nebby (and some Hawk) fans are espousing. Nebraska is glory days are now gone away, like Minnesota and very possible, Notre Dame.

Agree! It's not a reasonable expectation to follow the Nebraska's, Iowa's, Illinois's, and Minnesota's in today's world. They are all trending down.

They have some work to do for the defense to be called average....

You know what's hilarious is that your Chokeyes are gonna go back to being to us what you have always been except these last 3 years, our little bitch! You can take that one to the bank Chokeyes! You've never been anything in Football, and you never will. Reality sucks for you, deal with it! won't come right away, but will and that's fact. It's true, damn true!
Looks like someone accidentally got access to the computer at the nut house.

What is crymson?

And you conveniently forget it is 4 of the last 5, with the 5th being a fluke. And the scores? Maybe next year you can lose by less than 30. Then you can celebrate by having sex with your sister-mom.

How do you pronounce "Chokeyes?" Is it Chok-eyes or do you use the first "e" twice and pronounce it Choke-eyes? Whatever the case, this guy is hilarious.

I just hope they're starting to walk a little better in Lincoln.
Its all good. They should be ready to go next November when its time for them to grab their ankles and take their pounding. Chin up there shuckers, you've got 9 months to dream of the glory days before reality sets in next Sept.

And the Hisseys have five days till reality sets in.

Nebraska is college football's version of 'Peaked in High School' Rob Lowe.

Unfortunately every fanbase has a portion of loons who sit on their computers and obsessively follow the everyday actions of sixteen and seventeen year old kids playing football.

If I were to utter that statement in context of everyday life imagine how creepy that would sound, actually it's just creepy and odd regardless. You just don't get prison sentences because you are doing it in the name of fandom. Death threats over a football pledge?

Seriously? Well while I like needling adversaries as much as the next troll, that is crossing the line...FIFY.

Yep. I don't know if the program got early entry to events, or if the kids were just huge fans and arrived way early to wait in line, but those kids always seemed to be in one of the front rows of the student section when I was at games.

Good for them and good on them, looks like a great program UI has for those kids...when I see that meme used elsewhere, I'll spread the word.

Now back to our regularly scheduled shade throwing...

Congrats on improving your mark to 16-29-3...keep working on it.
LOL! Another blast from the past on Nebs wonderous glory years! So predictable. Please explain the relevance of Nebs victories over the hawks pre the turn of the century, as it pertains to the current college football landscape. It must really suck to have to google a response on when you used to not get woodshedded by even decent teams.......

Like John Miller, I am glad Nebby hired Frost as opposed to a Power Football coach like BB. I think Frost will have good offensive teams at Nebby, but unless he can field a defense, it will be a moot point. 56-49 games just don't exist in the BIG. Really, the more spread teams the better in the BIG, that would leave Iowa and Wisconsin as the only West prostyle power teams, and Michigan and Michigan State in the east. So, as Brian Griese said during the Iowa tOSU game, tOSU was not properly prepared for the power pro team since they had been playing spread teams. Iowa for the most part see's a power team in practice every day, and a spread team damn near every saturday.

You and Goldie are my favorite WOB on here. Always wrong but keep coming back for more. You have no shame. You may stay away for a while but always come back.

Mr. Frosty will get a proper Kinnick welcome after Thanksgiving. He will have to measure himself against where Iowa is as a program.
