I agree, they will be tough to beat but if Iowa plays their game they will pound the sheet out of Pudue.. congratulations Purdue for a great win but consistency is the issue and their usual siv defense will once again rear its ugly head again this season more than a few times.. great game again.... but we need to concentrate on PSU.. one game at a time but I am hardly shaken ... F$CK PUD U!

Iowa got embarrassed at PSU last year. The very next week Iowa beat Ohio State 55-24. The very next week they lost to Wisconsin 38-14 and had 66 yards of total offense. Every game is a contest unto itself.

Oh, and lest you forget, Purdue lost to Eastern Michigan--at home--under the direction of a former Iowa QB who had virtually no experience before stopping by West Lafayette a few weeks ago. So I don't think the Hawkeyes should forfeit to Purdue just yet.

You time line's a little off. The beating at PSU was in 2016. Last year was the last second PSU win in Kinnick.

You're right. I'm going to keep my focus on PSU. I can't afford to have a mental lapse while watching the game on TV this weekend. At some critical time in the game I might spill my beer, or make a ham sandwich instead of turkey. Got to keep my head in the game.

Purdue looked very good, That said, OSU looked very undisciplined on defense or perhaps very poorly coached.
Iowa has everything that OSU didn't. A bruising rushing attack when needed, a top 5 nationally ranked Defense. If OSU receivers and QB could have finished half of it's drives reaching the end zone (and they should have), and if the OSU defense could have avoided the stupid second chance penalty mistakes (and perhaps tackled at an average level of proficiency), the game against Purdue could have easily flipped the other way.

Great game for Purdue! OSU Penalties, missed tackles, generally poor defense was a poor match against the aggressive attack and explosive play makers for Purdue.

If Purdue can duplicate the outcome against OSU at MSU, then maybe I missed something in my analysis above.

Let's focus on PSU for now. Looks like their Defense has some definite holes as does their Offensive line. I think we have a good shot at getting some long needed revenge. Go Hawks!

So you don’t believe teams can improve during the course of the season? What happened with TW and Eastern Michigan against Purdue is ancient history.

tosu run D was pure garbage last night. That was some atrocious tackling.

No game is a gimme for Iowa, even lowly illanoy.

OSU has two beat downs, by us last year, and Purdue this year. Very unusual for them to have that happen two seasons in a row. A chink in the Buckeye armor? Yes, I think so. The hot seat just keeps getting warmer for Meyer.

if I recall correctly, wasn't bosa kicked out of the Iowa game last year? if I am right, then that was probably a major factor inour winning.

also, obviosly he did not even play v. Purdue this year for reasons tha we all know about.

I am just saying, hey, not even mighty Ohio State can plug & play another Bosa. so, that was probably a major, major factor in the outcome.

Ya, good question young man, but many on this forum here dont believe other teams improve throughout the season, and who you are is how you played da first game of da year. (Ex isu, texas, purdue, etc) lol

I said no such thing. I just stated a fact. You don't like facts? You should have a great future in DC...maybe even as president.

Did last year make Iowa the best in the BIG? Win over OSU maybe should have? :)

Iowa is nothing special besides at TE. Iowa is very disciplined with a salty defense when it’s dialed up. They can win out in the Big.

For the first time I’m not worried about anyone, but Nebraska. I just don’t want to be beat by that hot mess in a fluke game.

Yeh, Debbie will be playing their bowl game on Black Friday against Iowa!

I agree Bosa is really good but OSU has been rated to have had the top 3 recruiting classes, according to Rivals, in the past 4-5 yrs. Next to Alabama they sent the most players to the NFL. With all that talent they probably should be blowing teams out just like Alabama. OSU should be able just to plug new players in without missing a beat just like Alabama. The biggest different between both teams is coaching.

I don't agree about pounding the s*** out of them. That game at Purdue is a toss up.

If Purdue wins this week at MSU, they are in the driver's seat in the West because they get both Wisconsin and Iowa on their home field.
