Here's the thing about guns....

Again, you can make guns at home, for cheaper than you can buy a complete one in some instances. This mill is literally called the ghost gunner. Fully functional, mil-spec gun parts out of solid metal, no CNC experience needed, in the privacy of your own home. Stopping these machines with thousands of legitimate uses is impossible. They have tried to regulate the plans, but they are already out there...no going back in the tube for that toothpaste.

You could make providing the parts like this illegal.

And again it's not about making it completely impossible. . . it's about making it HARDER.

The right likes to throw out this strawman that essentially states that if a law won't make it IMPOSSIBLE for a person to illegally get ahold of a gun that it won't work. That's not the case. Simply making something harder to do, something that requires more skill, more research, more work, more planning works wonders for reducing these problems.

Enforced Laws work.

This. The nonsense spewed that equates to "we can't cure the problem so there's no use addressing or at all" is maddening.

You could completely ban all gun sales right now and it wouldn't make a bit of difference. There are guns everywhere in America. If the drug war taught us anything, it's that people are going get what they want to get, and banning stuff just makes people want that forbidden thing even more.

Making guns harder to acquire isn't going to do squat. We need to figure out WHY our culture is so obsessed with shooting people.
Except guns are made by companies that don't want to break the law. Illegal drugs not so much. If they aren't legally for sale it will make a huge difference. The only valid argument is 2A and that doesn't specify the type of arms, certainly not all arms. I would argue hunting rifles and revolvers are sufficient for self defense.

And yet they're all about new laws to restrict illegal immigration. I'm just saying if we can't stop every single one of them, we shouldn't even bother...amirite?

Evil will exist no matter what you do. Take all the guns in the US away there will still be mass killings. No one is stopping someone who wants to complete a killing.
Hawaii has the lowest gun ownership per capita in the US. It also has the the second lowest gun ownership. Alaska has the highest gun deaths per capita, and the second highest ownership.
It's not rocket science. The more guns in the state the more deaths.

It's the aw shucks we can't stop it so might as well make it legal argument. It could be applied to pretty much any crime.

What's ironic is that every time there is talk of banning AR-15's and other guns, gun sales soar. You anti gun people are fools.
