Hey BTN

We get it... Iowa beat Mich State in 2007.
I know right? They've show that game like 17 times in the last week and a half. That channel is absolute garbage. I wish it was like the PAC 12 Network. They have an unbelievable variety of games they show and their PAC 12 classics where they have a 1/2 hr show talking about the game and then immediately following they show the entire classic game. Really neat

The SEC Network is pretty good too. They have a series where they show the top 25 games of 2014. Its good to watch, whereas the BTN repeatedly shows an Iowa win from 8 years ago.

The other game they have been showing constantly this summer is the 2008 Penn St game. Both entertaining games but if one has a DVR it is unnecessary to show them so often.

I have to say I love watching replays of old Big Ten games in the late summer leading up to football season, but I do agree -- I don't understand why a greater variety of games can't be shown.

There are a lot of things I like very much about BTN, but I agree on the repeated games. I don't see what's keeping them from showing more different games.

Just noticed that Iowa's Anthony Herron is now an analyst on the PAC 12 Network now as well.

There's no argument the BTN needs to ramp up the programming before it starts losing eyeballs. It's like they've become self-satisfied and lazy with the success they've had.

Sounds like the U of I marketing dept...

They don't have the rights to the games is my guess. They probably only have rights to the games they have aired since BTN started and maybe don't want to pay to get anything else.

That was my suspicion, too, but BTN has aired a lot of games over the past several years. I think fans would prefer more variety, even if they weren't all necessarily "classic" games. I think this is fans' main beef. BTN has rights to a whole lot more games than the ones they're showing, yet they show a very limited number if games an insane number of times. Even the very most exciting games get old fast when they're re-broadcast ad nauseum.

I've been checking to see when KCRG will begin airing Hawkeye Classics at 9am before live games again, haven't see them listed so far.

Most of those games the B10N never once has shown and were massively more important historically than most the games B10N had for Iowa. From what I understand they get them from the U of I itself.

Yep agreed that game was HORRIBLE display of JC throwing ability.

I agree they need to change it up, show a game 1-2 times and then put in the vault and pick another. i mean there are tons of games that they could show. They also can stop playing the Big Ten Title game from last year. I do not know how many times I can see 59-0.
