They lost to both Ohio State and Michigan by 4 earlier in the season. Their starting lineup is also comprised of athletic upperclassmen. They are inconsistent, but not a bad team

PSU has given great teams fits, especially recently. They, despite their record, are a challenge. The OSU coach, after his #4 team struggled with them, said PSU scares the hell out of him. This was a good W for us.

Iowa is an average FT shooting team because our best shooters don’t go to the line very often. Also, Joe W has strangely fallen off dramatically in this category. Such a sweet stroke yet can’t put it together at the line.
I swear some people never watch a Big Ten game that Iowa isn't playing. Anyone paying attention all year would know that Penn State is pretty much down to the wire in every game, but can't seem to make the key plays down the stretch. They are much better than the record indicates, and the game went pretty much how most would have expected. Far from a perfect game from Iowa, but it is a reach to expect Iowa to roll in this game.

do you realize this Iowa team is on pace to avg the fewest turnovers per game in Iowa history. Yesterday was maybe their worst game of the season when it came to taking care of the ball but got to look at the big picture of the season and Iowa has done a darn good job.
little OT but when Iowa upset Kansas in 98’ to break their long home winning streak they had 31 turnovers that game.

Shooting FT 12-22 at home is embarrassingly bad. And it's not the first time we've been in the 50s as a team who plans to shoot well to make up for lack of athleticism.

Damn, I remember being at my buddy's on Lucas St for that game but don't remember 31 turnovers. That's pretty amazing, I guess this thread wasn't worthless afterall😆
