Higher Expectations = More Painful Loses

This is true. It wouldn't hurt if we had a bad program with no expectations. Internet sports boards are some of the worst places on the internet for bad behavior. When I was growing up, I can't ever remember a kid getting roasted in person for having a bad game.....nothing but support. These days, it's just ridiculously brutal if you make mistakes.

I remember how numbing the results of Iowa football were in 2000 for me. 1999 was truly an awful team with very little talent. And, things were't much better in 2000. Games got to a point where I'd watch, but bad plays didn't bother me. I simply knew the Hawks weren't going to win. That's a pretty shitty way to feel about your team. This is a good thread. It's easy to forgot how much worse things could really be.

Agree that this is a great thread and perspective always needs to be kept.
