Higher seed... Iowa or UNI?

Iowa finished with a crash, UNI finished on a roll. UNI won their conference tourney, Iowa out first game. Iowa signature win probably vs MSU. UNI vs North Carolina. UNI has a rep as a giant killer. Iowa has a rep as a giant choker. Overall records not that different. All in all, I think Iowa still gets a higher seed.

UNI will be a 11/12 seed

Iowa will be a 6/7/8 seed pending on how the weekend shakes out. I would not be shocked to be the 6th seed who has to await their opponent after the play-in games.

If we get seeded in the 8/9 game we will get stuck with a Power 5 team (Big 12, Big East, ACC) type team and it will not end good.

If we get the 7 seed, we might get lucky and get paired with a MWC, A-10 type team maybe.

Regardless if we get matched vs another Power 5 team, I am calling it now we will not win. We will get destroyed.

How many were we down to Dayton, Notre Dame, Purdue, and Illinois? We were trailing in all of these games by double digits and the opposing teams went into Passive mode and allowed Iowa back into them. We were able to overcome the Purdue lead, just because they went ICE cold from 3pt land. Notre Dame and Dayton games we were getting smoked 15+ deficit and the teams started stalling and not being aggressive and it allowed us back into the game, we still got beat. Illinois game just showed that our seniors can't score or play defense. Their confidence is gone and they are not playing with the same intensity as they were early in the year.

What I meant by lately was, How has this teams performance lately given you any confidence that we could hang with a NCAA type team? 2-22 shooting striking a sense of optimism in you? Losing 6 of 7 getting your hopes up? Face it the ship has sailed on this team, they are a mirror image of the 2014 team.

I am not sure I would say they don't deserve it. They are 21-10 on the year. I would say that is deserving.

However. I do agree that they pretty much suck. It really doesn't matter where they are seeded, they will be done in the first round.

Its all about SOS and unfortunately UNI plays in the Valley, which was WAY DOWN this year. WSU was not a very good team this year, went through some injuries. UNI will most likely be slotted in the 11, 12 range and will be a hot pick to upset someone in the first round.

Whoever Iowa gets matched up with as well, will be a hot pick to upset the hawks if they are a 6, 7 seed. The media had nothing good to say about the hawks last night. Majority of them compared this team to the 2014 team and said something internal is driving this slump.
