The State Department testified that it did NOT give Hillary Clinton the BlackBerry that she used while she was Secretary of State.
State Department lawyers said Wednesday, as part of a civil case involving the nonprofit group Judicial Watch, that the agency never gave Clinton a secure BlackBerry, and it may also have destroyed the devices given to top Clinton advisers.
“[The State Department] does not believe that any personal computing device was issued by the Department to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and has not located any such device at the Department,” the Department said in a court filing.
“[The State Department] believes that Ms. Mills and Ms. Abedin were each issued BlackBerry devices. [The State Department] has not located any such device at the Department … Because the devices issued to Ms. Mills and Ms. Abedin would have been outdated models, in accordance with standard operating procedures those devices would have been destroyed or excessed.”
The revelation suggests that Clinton used her own, less secure BlackBerry, while at the State Department.
Clinton was reportedly not allowed to use her BlackBerry on the secure seventh floor of the State Department, where her office was located.

That is not what has been alleged or implied by the State Dept or Justice Dept, but I'm sure it sounds the same to you, because reading comprehension doesn't appear to be one of your stronger suits. It's really quite impressive how gullible people on the fringes of the left/right are, but as that kind of propaganda seems to work very well on the party 'bases', I don't expect it to end anytime soon....

I'm not a fan at all of her using her own email server....but since she was, what sense would it make for her to use a State Dept. Blackberry? Her BB would be pulling stuff off State Dept. servers, not her own set-up. She's a mess, but using the email servers is a much bigger deal, IMHO, than using a personal BB.

I'm actually pretty pissed about this. Who the hell still uses Blackberry? That is a damn shame regardless if it was issued by the government IP department or not. That should automatically disqualify her from running.

Is there something special about a state department blackberry? I would assume it's the same as any other blackberry. I've never used a blackberry, but I know on my android when I set up my exchange account for work, it requires me to allow it to change some security settings. Do black berries work the same way? If so, what would it matter who owned the device.
