History, night game, rivalry, & wrestling

Would I be better off scalping a ticket before the game? Or buying one for ~$100 now. I'm a student looking for either student or non, whatever is cheapest.

Thanks

The entire weekend will be huge. Opening night for men's basketball late Friday evening as well. Hopefully two wins before the night game at Kinnick.

Seeing that there are two women's basketball games this weekend too. Certainly not as big as the other 3, but they're ranked and Bluder has been doing a terrific job. Let's gets wins all across the board.

Wow, perfect weather, revenge game, first chance in 119(?) years of football to go 10-0! I hope people are realizing how historically significant this team is. Not many of us were alive for the last Nat Title. This team realistically has a shot at it. They can beat anybody in the country, period.

I challenge the crowd to be louder then Pitt this year, that was just off the charts, such a blast whole game. The IOWA chant we kept doing when on D was so sweet (they scored) LOL

Good question. I'm wondering about this too. Seems like this could be the toughest ticket at Kinnick since the 2006 night game vs. OSU with Gameday in the house.

My experience says wait. Right now is the peak of the market. People with tickets are holding out for top dollar. Later in the week, anyone trying to unload tickets will bring down their price. Not saying it will definitely play out that way. It's just what I'm expecting based on some tracking of events like this over the years.

You should be able to get a student ticket for way less than $100 if you wait. Spread the word among friends that you need a student ticket, and see if there is an exchange for those on Facebook or elsewhere. On Gameday, walk around student tailgates with one finger in the air (not the middle one) and you might get offers. In my past experience, you can get much cheaper deals from students on gameday. Probably $50 or less. As a last resort, see what the scalpers on Melrose near the stadium are wanting for student tickets.

It's a 7 PM game, chances are excellent that a good number of students will get too drunk during the day and practically give you a ticket if you wait long enough...

You bring up a good point. Maybe I should wait and make sure I'll be able to make it myself before I buy one.
