The funny thing about geopolitics is things never seem to play out like the less informed expect. Maybe China does capitulate. Or maybe the leaders of China use this as a rallying cry to show their citizens that they truly are under attack by the West, just as Russia has convinced it's citizens. Maybe this becomes a tail wags the dog opportunity to become even more aggressive in the South China Sea. Geopolitical risks are rising and the impacts of these trade wars may likely be much more far reaching and impactful long term than anyone realizes today.
