This might be wiscy's opportunity to discover whether they have a cj sitting behind their rudock. 
I honestly cannot imagine there is much of a drop off in talent. I am honestly baffled at how he has remained the #1 QB for the badgers. Aside from him channeling his inner Joe Montana for Miami bowl game last year and Iowa this year he’s been downright awful.
Just means they’re gonna rush 50 times for 400 on the ground
Whether he plays or not I'm looking for a Wisconsin loss, though that would mean that NW is really heating up heading down the stretch. We will get the cats best show regardless so we need to take care of our business each week.
Nah he was nowhere near that level against us this year. Wisconsin had so many safe routes for him in that game. Most of the tough throws he had to make were either broken up or misfires.
Wisconsin protects him enough that he only needs to complete maybe 3 to 4 tough throws a game, if that.
Even on some of their 4th down plays, the WR was open, so it's not like those were tough, thread-the-needle throws.
Wisconsin's route running is what killed our zone and inexperienced LBs in coverage.
Honestly I'm not waiting with baited breath for Wisconsin to lose. We had our shot at them, so all Iowa can do now is face the challenge in front of them, and try to build towards a major bowl game.
If Wisconsin loses and Iowa slides back into the front of the division race, then they can adjust their goals accordingly.
I think he maybe he meant Wade Lookingbill. My cousin works with a guy whose GF overheard a co-worker say that Wade strained a neck muscle pump faking earlier in the week.
Northwestern goes out of its way to irritate the $hit out of Iowa... and they do it well..

Anybody who thinks Wisconsin is gonna stomp NW hasn't been paying attention. It could happen, but there's absolutely no good reason to believe it will. For one thing, remember BYU? How did Wisconsin's stompin' work out in that one . . . and it was @ Madison. Oh, and did anyone hear how bad Ohio State tromped Purdue last week?
Listening to local football show here in Wisconsin. All indications point to Horny being out. jNW has beaten Wisconsin four out of last five times at Ryan field.
Tolzein has a couple solid years years and nice career in the league. Best job in America, backup QB.
You never know - maybe they will fumble a couple of punt returns and stall inside the 10 twice? I mean, that couldn't ever happen, but you never you!
NW would have a good shot at winning if Becky was full strength!!! I dont get the guys on here that think NW has no chance. Have they watched ANY football......like ever??????
Probably because they aren't sure if they get the NW team that beat Sparty on the road rushing for 8 yards or the team that just narrowly beat one of the worst teams in College Football in Rutgers.

I know we want to believe Wisconsin is beatable... but they are not....

Noooooooooooooo, Hornibrooke must play, Bucky might actually find a QB that can throw the ball consistently if he doesn't play, and we need Northwestern to win Saturday.
My thought is 'don't give up your day job to write novels or movie scripts'.
Iowa won't get into the CFP without a win in the Big10 championship game. (And even winning that game doesn't guarantee that they'd get into the CFP.)
I think Wisky’s bigger issue is all the injuries in their secondary against a pass happy team.

I've seen 3 or so NU football games and a couple Badger games. NU escaped with wins at Rutgers and against Nebraska, and after about the first 1.5 quarters Michigan shut NU down completely on offense. NU doesn't have much a running game so they will have to rely on Thorsen. The NU defense can give up big numbers on any given day. I think this looks like a 14-17 point win for Wisky but you have to play the game - NU has been leading a charmed life in conference so far and there's always a chance that this could continue.
I just don't see how that could happen.
Unless somehow teams like ND, Clemson, and whoever wins the SEC (haha) end up with a loss too. Even then we wouldn't have the extra game which would be probably the best win Iowa would have all year.
