How is this the same? Rs owned both the House and Senate under Obama. Obama only had 12 vetoes his entire presidency. So any failures to get legislation through was on the Rs.Seems like this is the same thing that happened when Republicans controlled the House under Obama prior to 2014. Weird didn’t see any stories like this back then.
You do know how this works, right? One chamber passes a bill, the other chamber takes a look and if something can be worked out on to the president it goes. Moscow Mitch isn't letting anything move in the Senate, and he is getting a lot of push back from the few remaining moderates like Collins, Murkowski, Gardner, and Alexander. Even Senator Potted Plant from Iowa is upset because she has no record of legislative achievement to point to in a re-election battle.Good. The Dems are not good faith players.
matter of fact they denied it happenedSeems like this is the same thing that happened when Republicans controlled the House under Obama prior to 2014. Weird didn’t see any stories like this back then.
Does that mean Dems are winning?
basically every one of those 400 bills probably say something about climate change and how all humans need to be punished with carbon taxes... so it's probably good to ignore such nonsenseSo you're saying thank god for the Republican Senate or the country might already be a third-world craphole?
Good point.
basically every one of those 400 bills probably say something about climate change and how all humans need to be punished with carbon taxes... so it's probably good to ignore such nonsense
aoc said we need to stop calling it free stuff. so let's just call it free stuff to make her triggeredAnd/or bills to abolish ICE, have free college, have free healthcare, eliminate voting laws, etc...
Nut jobs....
And/or bills to abolish ICE, have free college, have free healthcare, eliminate voting laws, etc...
Nut jobs....
so the dems want to make sure dead people and Mexicans and dogs and dead dogs are secure while voting? that's coolNo, actually they have one that is pretty important regarding "election security" that's held up, among others.
And/or bills to abolish ICE, have free college, have free healthcare, eliminate voting laws, etc...
Nut jobs....
this is how you can tell it’s a cult, they have no idea what any of the bills say but they just know they are nut jobs because the leader told them. Never mind that none of the bills abolish ice, have free college or eliminate voting laws. It’s just cultier to assume.
Good point.Even Senator Potted Plant from Iowa is upset because she has no record of legislative achievement to point to in a re-election battle.
The less the government does the better... that goes for both sides.
Not in 2013 and 2014. It took me about a minute and a half to look this up. You have to at least try, man.How is this the same? Rs owned both the House and Senate under Obama. Obama only had 12 vetoes his entire presidency. So any failures to get legislation through was on the Rs.
400 bad bills, no doubt. Need to lower spending, would any of those have done that? No, every bill passed cost billions to enact and enforce if even possible. Doing nothing is always the correct course of action...
Actually, only about 5% or so of bills that pass the House receive a vote in the Senate, regardless the majority party. Not in 2013 and 2014. It took me about a minute and a half to look this up. You have to at least try, man.

Read your link. It says that the reason that a lot of these bills weren't passed by the Harry Reid Senate was because the bills were still working their way their committee and that the Senate was rewriting these bills for their own vote. Not in 2013 and 2014. It took me about a minute and a half to look this up. You have to at least try, man.

Then you should consider voting for another party because Republicans love them some big government. The less the government does the better... that goes for both sides.
so you want them to work hard...taking away as many rights as possible, and making up as many bogus stories about Russia as possible?Nope.
We haven't " done nothing ", we have been passing legislation for 200 plus years. We've turned the government into our largest employer...Doing nothing puts us in bad bad places.
since when was it the fed government's job to meddle in big business and pollution control? they have two jobs and they do them both very badly."Doing nothing" gives polluters free rein to destroy our environment and cause harm to our people.
It gives speculators free rein to game up our financial systems, until the house of cards explodes and destroys the entire economy.
It gives big companies monopolistic power, and unfair powers vs. consumers.
Doing nothing puts us in bad bad places.
Chuck Grassley is attempting to move legislation to curb prescription drug prices, but Mitch is blocking him. Chuck could dig in his heels on a judge or two, but he gets sleepy in the afternoons and defers.400 bad bills, no doubt. Need to lower spending, would any of those have done that? No, every bill passed cost billions to enact and enforce if even possible. Doing nothing is always the correct course of action...
why would it be congress' business what somebody pays for anything in a free market system? gun grabbing and taking our rights away is out for sure. and the Russia thing was a made up hoax, unless they were helping hills, which they were. then dems are fine with it if Russians help hills and Obama.Chuck Grassley is attempting to move legislation to curb prescription drug prices, but Mitch is blocking him. Chuck could dig in his heels on a judge or two, but he gets sleepy in the afternoons and defers.
If you were to say a lot of the legislation is Dem motivated you’d be right, but elections have consequences, and gun control, environmental protections, and keeping our elections safe from Russian influence is what the people voted for in 2018.

Yes you obviously did. There’s no reason to lie.Seems like this is the same thing that happened when Republicans controlled the House under Obama prior to 2014. Weird didn’t see any stories like this back then.
