Houston/San Antonio eats

I went to a ramen place in San Antonio named "Suck It" which I thought was funny.

There was a place in Houston, "Yummy Pho and Bo Ne," that odd recommend (at least for what I had, the bo ne).

I spent a fair amount of time in each for my former employer. One day, a donor said he was going to take me to the “best Asian restaurant in Houston” and we went to P.F. Chang’s…and again for the next five years. So there’s my recommendation.

Spent a lot of time in the Philippines. Friends once took me to their favorite Italian restaurant… Pizza Hut

san antonio :chris madrid's supposed to be good burgers. I cannot really recall if I been there but everyone tells me to check it out. If I did go it was a long time ago. the broadway 50-50 is for sure, no doubt check it out. Ray's drive in puffy tacos: have not been there but want to check it out. Little Red barn steakhouse: you would swear the waitresses have dallas cowboy cheerleader outfits on from 1963.

I've only had their brisket and ribs. I saw no reason to go elsewhere on the menu but probably should.
Brisket was some of the best I’ve ever had. Street corn was excellent as were other sides. We were there w a group of friends so I sampled quite a few.

Hopefully you're not there over the next 36-48 hours, OP. Things will be a mess.

you guys are making me want to try this 2M. usually around here these "newby foodie" type BBQ places are not really what I'm after. never been to franklin's for example. usually we want to go into a place, been there since the 30's, black walls from all the smoke for a hundred years
