Since 1960, the Fighting Illini have had 10 head coaches.
Only two had winning records: Mike White at 47-41 from
1980 to 1987, John Mackovic at 30-16 from 1988 to 1991.

We can officially call Illinois....."A Basketball School".

football coaches, Hayden Fry and Kirk Ferentz for the past
40 years. Both with winning records.
