I actually like the two guards in this class. Add them to C.J. and Joe T and it might be an upgrade on athleticism, ability to play D and create on offense. We’ve tried going big many years, but going small with Joe W and one post could be interesting. I know its hard to see when things look so grim but better guard potential is long overdue imo.
Can we trash the coaches kids since the cheap skate wont use some of his overpaid salary on them?Personally, as a rule of thumb, I think it may be a good idea to not trash our recruits until they at least prove they aren't worthy of their scholarships. And even then, we're talking about young men, who all hope to have promising careers and have chosen Iowa to make their stand.
Now, if you want to trash Coach McCaffery, well, as the saying goes, he a grown man.
Just going by offers this has to be in the level of 2014 or 2015 if not worse, right?
Hopefully I’m wrong
Agreed, with one slight change. Football is mired in mediocrity, b-ball is pure shit.
You will know in two years after they arrive on campus.Just going by offers this has to be in the level of 2014 or 2015 if not worse, right?

114 4* seniors and we can’t land one?!?! Hell, Butler has two! Not recruiting white guys is a start, but we won’t be competitive until we get more 4* players. I didn’t mention the 5*s as I don’t think we’ll land a 5* b-ball player in my lifetime....it could be the University presidents son, and he would go elsewhere. What are you bitching about, Roy. The 2020 class doesn’t have a single white dude. Ya got what you asked for.

You're too wrapped up in the stars Roy.114 4* seniors and we can’t land one?!?! Hell, Butler has two! Not recruiting white guys is a start, but we won’t be competitive until we get more 4* players. Why didn't your message total change?Sorry. I meant Kennesaw State.
I’m not so sure either the 07 class and the 08 class were better ? Kick Gatens out because he was coming to iowa no matter who was coaching. The only guy that was solid was Cole.
Why didn't your message total change?
Star ratings not great. I actually think this is an average class for Iowa. I like it better than most. The Twins will be be solid starting/ rotational players. I actually think Ulis is going to be a very solid player/ PG. Perkins seems to be a tweener to me, that currently I don't think is going to make it. But 3/4 pretty decent players. No can't miss studs, but I don't think Foster was a can't miss player. I think the murray twins have the potential to outperform him over 4 years, although Foster has the higher potential for the pros being a 7 footer.
This guy sure disappeared. Good riddance!Indeed. On paper, it’s bad. No way to sugar coat it. Good thing actual games are not played on paper.
LOL!I always thought our facilities were hurting us in recruiting top talent but now not sure what is holding us back.
We once again struck out on every top target.
Prohm nailed two of his top three targets.
If we could just have landed the two legacy targets,Carton and X, the whole program would be jazzed.
This class could bury Fran.
To be fair to myself I did say “Hopefully I’m wrong”The other thread made me decide to bring this back for memory sake. Brunomars, you still think I'm drinking the Kool-aid.
[/QUOTE]No doubt on Foster.
However, the Murray boys will be big enough and they will be a year removed from high school, so by year 2 at Iowa they will each be 20 years old. I think they end up being quality players at Iowa.
QUOTE="TampaHawkfan, post: 7067153, member: 6596"]Agreed, it's a guard's game. Having an interior presence is important, though, IMO. Foster would've been a big get.
Productive . . . wow, I gave you a thumbs up, but right now we are looking at least 1 NBA likely 2 out of this class. This went from from a fireable class to one of the top 10 recruiting classes potentially in Hawkeye history. To be fair to myself I did say “Hopefully I’m wrong”
I will eat my crow sandwich right now. Glad this class has been productive
The class with theOur recruiting class is below UMass, Rhode Island, and Fresno State per 247. So that's how good it is
The class with the Murray twins was laughed at too. The ranking don't mean muchJust going by offers this has to be in the level of 2014 or 2015 if not worse, right?

LOL!
BTW, where are Prohm and his "top three targets"?
This guy sure disappeared. Good riddance!
Legend was able to ferret these types out. I suspect that if RaptorDick pops up again under a different handle, Legend will out him.Complete tool.
I really believe he is still here under a different handle. I think I interacted with him after the Nebraska game.
This is where I miss when they used to log your IP address publicly.
It was pathetic. He could recruit talented players but couldn't put together a team.Literally, 7 guys between transfers and high school recruits and only one is left on the roster and he doesn't play. Pretty amazing actually.
BahahaLike taking a swig from a can of Busch Light before realizing someone had been using it for their dip-spit.
