Only for serious folks.

You got COVID and lived (obviously). What are your risks the next time you get COVID? You're good, right?

I've cued this TWIV broadcast to the relevant section where they walk us through a nifty (but dense) chart. The news isn't terrible, but isn't as good as you might have hoped.

It's why I'm getting an annual Covid booster, along w/ my annual flu vaccine booster, each fall.
I've had annual flu shots since college; no reason for me to do any differently w/ flu or Covid from here on out.

As some here may recall, I've gotten Novavax as my COVID booster the last 2 times because I have more confidence in the mechanism of action over the mRNA vaccines. You don't have to agree, but I was pleased to learn that Novavax boosters may be more durable (less decline in efficacy) compared with mRNA boosters.

Does that mean you should get Novavax instead of Pfizer or Moderna next time? Up to you, but maybe. I plan to.

I've cued the video to that discussion:

Another section that may enlighten some of our vaccine skeptics and that also really drives home the value of Paxlovid is the section and chart I've cued here. Even if it doesn't convince anyone to get boosters, it ought to convince you to get Paxlovid if you do catch COVID (including if you already had COVID).

If I was you, I’d get monthly Covid shots…can never be too careful. 😜

You sure are working hard to push a YouTube video on everyone. Three different times you’ve bumped this same video.
What's your point?

I did the work of drawing attention to different parts of a long video that I thought serious people would like to know about.

If you can't appreciate that . . . maybe apply the Thumper Principle?

I had Covid in June, was probably slightly worse than the 48 or so hours each time I got a vax or booster, lasted about the same amount of time (with Paxlovid). I was most surprised that the nurse that took my temp (102.9) and did the test wasn’t masked and said I could take mine off and then the doctor that came in wasn’t masked and when I asked him about it, he said he just had Covid a couple weeks ago and wasn’t worried. He said I could take mine off also so I did.

Neither my wife, my one child that still is at home, nor I have had COVID. Some of my kids have, and a few of the grandkids have had it. One Grand daughter realized she had it after spending an evening at our house.
My wife had a nasty reaction to the first shot and never took another. She works in a very busy kitchen store, has to been exposed countless times. I've been exposed multiple times at work. Weird how this shit works.

Whats really weird is you can start a pandemic and nobody has any interest in accountability. In fact, gof proceeds along its merry way. Almost seems political🤷‍♂️😂
