How Did The Will Honas Visit Go?

I believe the visit went swimmingly. Seems like the primary competition is K-state mainly because his brother attends the School. Possibly also close proximity.

Sounds like everything went well. I lurk the Nebraska boards and they are not saying honas has a visit. I think if anything he would go to K state next weekend. (I know the guy is from Kansas and his brother goes to Kstate but if you know anything about that program you know it's a smoldering tire fire that is about to get stoked) I think overall we are sitting well and as I Juco I think he will sign early but those are just guesses.

Where do we stand with this kid? I know Frost and Nebraska jumped in with an offer and there is also K-State and Ole Miss.

Don't think 'ol Miss is a player, see below:

Honas just scheduled the Nebraska visit tonight. He'll be in Lincoln on 12/15.

Scott Frost visited him on Sunday, Bill Snyder on Monday, and Kirk Ferentz will be there on Wednesday along with Phil Parker and Seth Wallace.

Man, it would be great to get this kid, think he is going to be a heck of a player.

Going to be hard to turn down what is likely a surefire starting spot at Nebraska though. I guess there are some benefits for them being so devoid of talent.

Also, since he doesn’t have a full 4/5 years of eligibility, there’s a chance he can even play for the same coach his entire career. Pretty rare at that place.

The 3 Wise men will travel west to talk good sense to Honas about our linebacking tradition here. That danged Debby name recognition and program lore still hanging around enticing recruits. New life surrounding the program these days with the Frost hire.

Nebby will be terrible next year and most likely the following based on current talent and this year’s recruiting class. If he wants to play for 2 years on those teams knock yourself out. I’m sure LB is a fun position to play with a poor D-line allowing Olinemen to be on you all game.

Pretty good chance to start at Iowa since all three starters graduate.

(I thought this was a Blair post, I lol'd)

Nebraska will be improved next year. I say 8-4 or 7-5.

http://dataomaha.com/huskers/history/seasons/2018

They would have to be exponentially better to get to 7-5 next year.

2019 they MIGHT get to 9-3....

2018 should be 9-3 and 9-3 out of Iowa in '19 minimum. He is going to do what he is going to do but we should seriously be able to seal this guy up.
Worst case we remind him of the score board us vs them the last 3 years. KsU could be a player now that old man Snyder is staying until he forces his son into the program. (Atleast we dont have that mess)

At risk of turning this into another GD Nebraska thread. The MN vs NE game over the next couple years is going to be interesting to see which coach asserts himself.

Their schedule is brutal, you know. Or do you not know? Here it is anyway

Home vs Akron
Home vs Colorado
Home vs Troy
Away vs Michigan
Home vs Purdue
Away vs Wisconsin
Away vs Northwestern
Home vs Minnesota
Bye week
Away vs Ohio State
Home vs Illinois
Home vs Michigan State
Away vs Iowa

Wisconsin and Ohio St are the only tough games.

9-3

Nebraska didnt lose to Northern Illinois, Minnesota, Northwestern because of talent deficiencies.

Iowa's dogcrap offense basically scored at will on Nebraska. There is no possible way the talent is bad enough to justify giving up 54 points to Minnesota and 56 to Iowa.

Uh, no. Not saying they won't win way less games, but to say those are the ONLY tough games is incorrect, IMO
LOLz you better worry about Colorado and Troy since you'll be transitioning to a new system then. I also love how you continue to disrespect and downplay Iowa. Keep it up, we enjoy it.
Also Northwestern, Iowa, Michigan and Michigan State
