I keep seeing the following statement in the tip-time stories.

Peter Jok continues to move his way up Iowa’s scoring list. He now has 1,204 career points and is the 46th player in Iowa basketball history to reach that mark. He is now 22nd on the all-time scoring list.

How can he be the 46th player to reach 1,204 career points but be 22nd on the all-time scoring list? Are there 24 players tied with him for 22nd place?

I thought the same thing. Very poorly worded. I believe THAT MARK is 1,000 points but it isn't written that way.
