I think a good week of practice can be very important for a team especially going into a big game. It doesn't always translate into a winning effort but seems like it should contribute to good play. A team can get itself in rhythm with a good week and carry that over to the game. On the flip side I'm sure there have been plenty of teams and games that were preceded by good practice weeks and did not go well.
