From google:

Depending on the severity of the fracture or stress reaction, the doctor will typically prescribe 6-12 weeks of rest. This means no running whatsoever.

We screwed! There goes the season and back-to-back NCAA tournament. So damn unlucky and depressing :/

If CJ is out these next few weeks it could be killer. The 1st half of the B1G schedule was supposed to be the easy half. @ Nebraska was one of those away games that was supposed to be one of the few money games the team needed.

I read in the Lounge it was a minimum 4-6 week deal. That would kill us.

Is that for a fracture though? I read for a stress reaction for runners it could be 2-3 weeks.

I just hope that we can beat Northwestern and one of the home games against Maryland, Michigan and Rutgers.

12-7 would be tolerable if we could get him back for Wisconsin.

Pretty sure it said stress reaction. Our schedule is just brutal. Rutgers looked salty as hell against Penn State last night. If we get one of those three home games, I would be happy.

Hopefully then we can scrape out 7 wins in the final 16 games. Have CJ back for the tournament and get a couple wins.

19 might be enough to get into the tournament with our SOS this year.

Thankfully we played some decent non conference competition this year. Texas Tech, San Diego State, Iowa State, DePaul, Syracuse and Cincinnati are all top 100 NET.

If that is the case, you might as well shut CJ down for the rest of the year and get fully healed and ready for a run next season. The season is going downhill fast with all the injuries. Get everyone healthy and hopefully Garza comes back, this team could be really good next year.

I am no doctor, but did run in small college. It's not uncommon for runners to get a stress fracture, but it all depends on if that stress fracture turns into a full break. I knew some guys that just ran through it until they just plain couldn't.

For those that choose to not run on a stress fracture to try to let it heal in its own, they walked in boot. For conditioning, our coach would set up pool workouts, which can be really tough if one is motivated.

Frederick should be able to continue conditioning workouts via the pool.....just no normal running.

And that is without Geo Baker. Rutgers is legitimately good. They will be even better when Baker gets back.

I don't see what you people are seeing, Iowa has zero bench... ZERO! Evelyn, Pemsl, and Tell. If any other coach came up with those players to fill it's roster they would be boiled in oil. Injuries have sucked this team of it's strength.
Fran is basically screwed for the rest of the season and so is this Iowa team. There is no way Garza, Wieskamp, Toussaint, Connor, and Kriener can play the rest of the season without having competent backups. Iowa is done for the season....

Maybe so, but as long as the kids don't give up, I certainly won't......

They play hard and are fun to watch. I thought NIT after Jbo left. I'm not going anywhere and will keep cheering them on!

He's done for the season.

Next year with him, JBo, and the rest of this team, sans Pemsl, back, they could be really good.
