How many losing seasons does Barta give Fran?

I think good old Gary gives Fran 3 consecutive losing seasons before he'd let him go.

Coaches should be kicking in the door to coach at Iowa... Almost GUARANTEED to be given 10+ years.

Buckle up, it'll take running the program into the ground before any changes are made.

I don't disagree, but I GUARANTEE that Gary would allow 2 consecutive losing seasons and say that Fran has earned the right to turn things.... So it would be the 3rd LOSING seasons before Gary would do anything.

Fran is an offensive savant. The trouble is, you need to be able to play defense to win the B1G and see the second weekend of the tourney.

Plus, he's about as comfortable with the portal as my grandma is with a computer.

I believe the FB program is something like 10-9 over their last 19 games and Barta is fine with that. Say no more. Like FB, when USC & UCLA enter in 2024, where does that put the Iowa BB team in the field of 16 BIG Teams.

Yes, I get the feeling Barta is a "set it and forget it" type of AD. Find a guy that has any success whatsoever, throw a huge contract extension at him, and then hit the golf course.
