not that last play, probably, but he was leading with his head all day. Definitely targeted our RB in the first quarter
With due respect, you don't understand the rule.not that last play, probably, but he was leading with his head all day. Definitely targeted our RB in the first quarter
Why do announcers hate penalties so much?
Probably because they were cold and wanted to get the hell out of the booth after the game going almost 4 hours thanks to commercial breaks. I mean for god sake ESPN had to go split screen for a period of time to show the kickoff of the next game. Honestly - the press box at Beaver Stadium is woefully obsolete and the hvac conditions aren't exactly the best which is why they were likely happy to wrap the game up as quickly as possible.
Agreed (and I don't think these are smart tackles) but the couple of questionable plays I saw, he hit the runner (not a defenseless player) with the side of his helmet, not the crown. If you lead with the crown of your helmet and hit the other player in the side of the helmet I don’t think it matters if the player is defenseless. #6 clearly does that at the 7:20 mark of the first quarter. Not saying it cost us the game, but that guys going to hurt somebody or himself. I think they actually said he seemed woozy after hitting wirfs. Even though his hit on wirfs seemed legal, it wasn’t a smart play at all
