How the Hell....

Built up a lot of creds last year purely through Chris Beard's coaching. It will hard if not impossible to maintain that all season.

National runner-up and then beat the #1 team recently. If Iowa beats Cincinnati could be ranked by the playing of the next Big 10 game.

I don't follow them that closely, but thought I heard they had a near complete roster turnover? (Yes, I heard they beat #1).

If he (Beard) makes big splashes again this year, he is The Real Deal for sure.

They had one guy back (Moretti). I don't think there is any way they are co-champs of the Big 12 or make a deep NCAA run, but if he gets them back to the tourney after losing most all of his key players, it would be quite a coaching job.

They started out 5-0 playing cupcakes and have gone 2-3 since. Not a recipe for moving up in the ratings by my estimation. I don't care if they did beat Louisville. By that standard, Stephen F. Austin (8-2) ought to be ranked.

Honestly, my biggest problem with schools who are ranked is Washington. They've played three good teams, lost to two of them and beaten Baylor. Their next best win is Eastern Washington. That's about the equivalent of beating Oral Roberts.

I mean, other than them, I could make decent arguments for most of the top 25.
