How to Deal with Problematic Squirrels

We have a squirrel in our back yard we've named Kylo Ren. He's a real bastard! Eats my wife's flags and porch pillows. I strung lights out through the trees, and he literally chewed the bulbs off the line and they dropped on the ground. I hate that a-hole.

I guess I think about squirrels differently. I'm more like this:

I think squirrels are entertaining, and as nice to watch as birds. So, I buy food for the squirrels and feed them too.
Same. I love watching the squirrels in our backyard and have a couple of feeders out. The only downside is they usually smash about 90% of our peaches every year.

I saw this the other week and it made me like them even more lol:

I think this is terrible.

The creator should be arrested or fined or whatever you do to someone that is cruel to animals.

Disclaimer: I hunt and fish.
Yeah. The sound of the thud of the landing makes you sick to your stomach. The good thing is the last part of the video shows the squirrel hitting the ground and literally on the bounce is on its feet and running.

Squirrels can drop from any height.

The videos I posted of the mazes has parts in there where the creator slo mos some of the falls to show how fast they react and set themselves up to land by locking in their head and using position of arms to control speed of twisting and flattening out to reduce velocity.

I do believe falling is a little different. The launcher spins and twists them as compared to them being able to control the position of their bodies. But, I am sure you are right. It was obvious the launched squirrel wasn't seriously hurt but that doesn't mean it wasn't cruel.

I watched a couple of squirrels chasing each other at the top of a tree and one fell about 50 ft to the ground. He was definitely shaken up for a while and sat by the base of the tree for 15-20 minutes. He ended up climbing back up and went right back to chasing his friend around lol.

Squirrels are awesome. Back in college we had a temporary pet squirrel. It's mom was ran over and it sat on the side of the road staring at her corpse all day and when we walked over it ran up to us. We looked up what to feed it and after a month or so when it was big we let it go on campus where there were endless trees and bushes.

The squirrel loved sitting on our shoulders and a year after releasing it a squirrel, on camous, ran up to one of us and climbed his shoulder. We assume that was him. CSB.

We don't have many squirrels in the yard. But a couple have destroyed a large bird feeder out back. But they weren't satisfied with that. They also chewed through the lid on the 5 gallon bucket we kept the extra bird seed in and ate all of that.

I will get my revenge. You don't f**k with a man's 5 gallon bucket.
