Seems like an awful business decision by the theater.

If they don't have a policy....

But, my guess is he can now 'scalp' them for 5x to 10x face value....
Heck...scalp 1/4 of them at 5x FV, and you've made money.

Then, you can Ebay the rest as 'souveniers' that 'you were there at the first showing' for even MORE money. Stupid people will line up to buy crap like that...

Can you imagine the fight that takes place when some kid sneaks in and he tries to toss them out. He's totally going to miss the first spaceship blowing up running out to get the manager and explaining why all the seats belong to him.

Exactly, now the business pisses off X number of people, and fail to make any concession money, like at all. Seriously, no concession money for the biggest premier in a few years?

This has to be fake. I'm pretty sure most of their profits come from concessions, no?

I could definitely see it being real. Guy goes in to buy the tickets from a pimply 16 year old who doesn't care, thinks it is funny, and isn't seeing any of the profits.

My understanding is all of it comes from concessions now. That's a lot of money lost if they did sell all their seats to one guy.

Also up until this movie I've honestly never heard of people buying their tickets for a movie a month in advance. I honestly didn't even know that was possible.
