Almost 4/15, hopefully you losers have your taxes done.

How did you come out?

Any big tax surprises, good or bad?

Largest refund I gave out was around $20k.
Largest amount due was around $1.4m.

Let's hear it.

Back to work I go.

Pretty good. I always owe and never get money back.

I did mine in January with the free government online service for poors.

I assume it will be gone next year.

We have to file an extension because of the late breaking decision to pass my FIL's estate through to our personal return.

Pending the above, we have a $10K refund coming on our federal return. No state income tax.

All appts finished after today. 30 more drop offs to finish by Tuesday. I always have that 1 client every year where I’m thinking what the heck did you do. This year took the cake I think. Have dealt with 2 cases where the IRS agent was leaving or is gone, no longer responding to email or calls. I really think it will be similar to 2020 in regards to response times.

I'm a sovereign citizen and your government can keep its hands off my money!

Gonna keep using the roads and stuff though.

(filed last week and got a tiny bit back, which was better than last year, where I had to cut a decent check.)

Waiting on 1 K1 that has alot of pass thru.
Owe $7k which was fairly good for us.

Not great. Getting about $5500 back. Perfect world I’d like to owe a few hundred.

1.4 million sounds like a big penalty coming. How did that happen?

I am doing my tomorrow as I just got partnership paperwork about a week ago. PIA.

I get pretty close to $0 since ADP smart withholding thing was added to our company.

I owe this year- around $1200- cause I didn’t account for my dependent turning 17 last year, so kid deduction goes from 2k to 500

Owe just under $5k, which is just the way I like it. That's 5k that the government wasn't holding interest free of my money, money I could invest and make some profit on. I make sure our witholding and quarterly payments are enough to prevent any penalties, and I'm prepared for owing every year.

Owed 18k. I effed up and sold a vehicle I had written off. Bought for 50 in 2022, sold for 42

Had to stroke a check for $4,400.

Mrs. Tradition's (no pics) employer didn't withhold the taxes on her commissions properly.

That’s an $8 loss on my books.😜

We came out pretty good this year. Owed $82 federal and $890 state. Just signed the paperwork today to process payment for both. Get it paid and be done with 2024.

Same, except we sold our half of the farm so working out the basis. We'll owe, just not sure if it will be 11% or 22%.

Getting $800 back. Which honestly is good because the best bid i got to fix my roof from the raccoon damage is $1,500.

Typically I wouldn't be too thrilled about getting that much back.

Did you at least get to see the racoons as the 'coon man took them away in his trap?

F'n chiropractor writing off their vehicle? SMH

LMAO
You’re talking about to guy who didn’t file taxes on cash payments and then got mad when his ex-wife stole the money in the divorce.

The fact he even files taxes is a step forward.

No no, she made cash, I was above board then. She owned a salon. Just sucked during divorce
