Howe out of OK, headed to B1G

Some speculation on other boards he might be headed to NW. No spoiler alert here, just speculation.

Northwestern has 4 pretty good kids (when healthy) that will be back next year in Jason Tsirtsis (149), Bryce Brill (157), Johnny Sebastian (174), and Zack Chakonis (285). I imagine Howe will elevate their middle weights in the room. They would've had a pretty dang tough team had Micic stayed and Reenan stuck with the commitment. I'm unsure of any recruits coming in for them that will have an impact in the lineup.

Great for Northwestern. Wrestling needs as many strong programs as possible.

Mitch Sliga has some potential still too.

Drew Pariano was/is a Great Coach. Whichever program brings Pariano in next will be very thankful.

I'm a former Northwestern wrestler and this is good news! Howe is a great talent. Heck,he would have torched Nick Reenan everyday in practice! We will be back to a top 20 team next year! Perfect storm of stress last year!

Your screen name leads me to believe you no longer like the program, but your words say otherwise. Confusing.

When you have a school like Northwestern with the academic standards that they demand, it's always going to be a double-edged sword. When you have talented recruits who have the smarts, Northwestern will always be on their list, but if you have a super talented kid without exceptional grades, Northwestern isn't an option. Year in and year out they should at least have a handful of AAs. MSU they are not.
