8-6 for Suriano...Tough match Suriano turtled up in the last period but didn't give up backs. Did get taken down by Lizak

Think Suriano might have a tough third period with Gilman's pace. Very good and shouldn't be overlooked on his feet. Impressed by his shots...they weren't countershots and he was the aggressor on his feet.

FWIW - I really liked this ref. kept the wrestlers informed of everything. Kept the coaches informed of why / when he called stuff. Double stall needs to be called much more. Sans me making comments on the CC match - I thought he was outstanding.

As for the 133 CC match - I think giving the MI guy a reversal with backs out of nowhere would have been irresponsible - but ... I have would have said oh well, he will come back.

Agreed. 197 is very weak compared to 184.

No doubt Brooks could do well there although he doesn't look big for 184. Wilcke would struggle at 84 though - it's a meat grinder this year

I had not ever watched Kemmerer until the midlands and second time last night. I understand he needs to get better at finishing shots but I love the way this guy wrestles as he constantly is looking to score and I love this kid's moxie. Going to be fun to watch him next couple of years.
