HRC paid herself from Campaign Donations!

They it's not illegal, but why would you donate to her if you know she is going to keep it?

I know in 2012 when she ran she was loaning herself money for the campaign. If I recall the rules state that you can pay yourself back using campaign funds up until the convention. What's to say shes not paying herself back for campaign expenses she paid for personally?

Mr. Trump is also loaning his campaign his own money and has generated $7 in donates, which I assume he will use to pay himself back.

I think this different from 2012.

No other candidate running for president recorded payments to themselves, FEC files show. Donald Trump reimbursed $410,000 to himself and other Trump entities for payroll expenses, rent, hotel, and restaurant bills in December, according to reports.

While it is legal for candidates to pay themselves from campaign funds, the rule was established andintended for candidates who are not well off and quit their jobs to run for political office.

Bill and Hillary Clinton are estimated to be worth over $100 million dollars combined, with Hillary’s net worth estimated around $30 million and Bill’s estimated around $80 million, according to previousreviews of financial disclosure reports.

Clinton’s campaign did not respond to a request for comment on the payments by press time.

I don't have a huge problem with it, but I have to wonder if Clinton campaign donors might have an issue with it. Considering how wealthy the Clinton's are would you really want your money going to pay her salary rather then you know advertising and other expenses involved with running a campaign?

This is hardly a scandal, but it sort of makes me wonder if her campaign donors know their money is being partially deposited in her bank account.

It's her job, and people believe in her and are donating accordingly. She should be paid for her job, so I guess it's ok by that standard. That said, your salary should be modest, not including expense reimbursements. You are, after all, running to be a "public servant."

The rule may have been intended for candidates who are not well off, but the 2 most wealthy candidates are doing it.

Billionaire running for president reimbursed himself for $410,000 and it's ok.
Millionaire running for president reimbursed herself for $250,000 and everyone wants to question it.

She put them on FEC documents that are public, so if she's trying to hide something she's doing a really bad job about it.

I'm not a fan of either, I just don't see what the big deal is.
