I'm not all that worried about today's loss.. what I'm more worried about is how far behind Wisconsin we are.. they've won 5 of last 7 (lost a fluke 2015) and holy cow is their depth on a different level. Relatively young coach with Jimmy Leonard (very young) right behind him.. wish I would have gone to indy when when i had the chance!

No crap, it just wasn't one play. We dominated turnovers and penalties (like today) and got the win. That is our formula- it worked last week and damn near worked against Penn State.

Something that was noticeable is how much damn bigger all their guys are. Every position, their guys seem to outweigh ours by 20 lbs easily. Size isn’t everything but it certainly helps when establishing a power run game.

What is angering is Wisconsin is beating us with an offense that we excelled at 15 years ago. Straight ahead running with lots of misdirection thrown in to keep the D honest. We get lucky if we run more than two counters or traps a game.

Oh well they went 0 for the entire 1980s plus half of the 70s and 90s. Iowa will beat them next year.

Yeah, but Iowa has a really young coach, too. On offense. His name is Brian.

Wisconsin's program is so much superior to Iowa's it isn't even funny.

Every year people underestimate Wisconsin. All year people were saying "they haven't played anybody".

And yet, here they sit at 10-0. All they do is win. Consistently.

So it is back to the drawing board for the the Hawks. Maybe next week Brian will have a game plan similar to the OSU game. Maybe not. Who knows?

I don’t think next year will be any better. Offense returns a lot of guys, but frankly they have been average to horrible 8 of 10 games. Defense that has been the strength loses all of its best players if Josh goes pro

Our OL has been weak and that's where the majority of offensive football is dictated. The two young tackles look promising it are learning but the interior is not good and undersized.

Wisconsin has won 4 straight in Iowa City. Badgers have the much better program, even with three coaches this decade
For as good as some of our teams have been I just can't get over how overmatched some of the guys we put out there are. Except for a few guys we've had guards playing tackle for 7 years or so. Except for a few guys our WR's, DT's, DE's, Safeties and Bower have all been average to FCS level for 7 years or so. At the same time we have a couple 2 star players that are all world every year. Our 2 stars are better than our 3 stars. o_O I can't help but think some of our standards hurt us more than help us. This is not a knee jerk reaction. It seems i've been getting hyped for less and less Iowa football every year now. From 2001 till 2011 Iowa Football was pretty much all I cared about. I didn't think this would ever happen but Iowa basketball has replaced Iowa football as my first love. What I thought would eventually happen to the football program is instead happening to the basketball program. As they get better the RECRUITING gets better.

Which I'm all about! I hope he's our next guy..

Would you be so kind as to explain why. He wouldn't even be sitting in the press box if his last name was different. What qualifications or qualities does he possess leading you to believe he deserves to be the next head coach.

The Wisconsin game? Absolutely it was.. Wisconsin tripping over their own players fumbling inside the 10.. that wasn't forced by Iowa

Nate Meyer absolutely blew up the guard causing him to step back on the Wisconsin qb's foot leading to the fumble. But go ahead and continue to say iowa had nothing to do with winning and game and Wisconsin really losing it. Iowa outplayed Wisconsin that day.
