I’m gonna miss the uptempo offense

Do you believe McCollum is smart enough to try a faster offense if the team is losing too much with the slow offense? I do. I also think that Fran overly fixated on recruitment of slow, lanky players like himself. Too many of those guys on the court is not remotely possible of achieving a sweet 16 in this era.

The up tempo offense can work. The ability to adjust to something other than up tempo offense was the problem.
The defense this past season was unacceptable

The one thing I'll miss are the inbounds plays. Give the man credit, he could draw up some great plays that always seemed to work.

Things I won't miss:
1. Not boxing out
2. Not calling TOs when the other team is on a run
3. Scoring 94 points, but losing by double digits
4. No hands up on defense, and slow close outs on 3 point shooters
5. Not properly hedging on screen and rolls
You forgot:
6. Mind boggling lineup rotations
7. Players stuck in 2 foul jail regardless of position
8. Standing on the sidelines with hands in pocket looking like he could care less….which might be worse than the days of Francon 10 but not sure.
9. 1 pass fire contested 3…keep shooting even if you’re 0-10
10. The all white guy lineups

THIS!! I was watching BYU tonight and thought this is what Fran imagined. That's an elite offense but they don't get killed on the glass.
Fran had multiple elite offensive teams that were also good rebounding teams.

It still wasn't enough to compensate for terrible defense against good teams.

His bad rebounding teams were only the last two years.

The problem with Fran is that his entire thought process stopped at offense. He got exactly what he wanted, elite offense, and he never even thought about the other end of the court.
